*********** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MYSA PARENTS *******************

 

REGISTRATION 

In an effort to improve registration for new and returning players, MYSA will hold a one day registration for the 2010 season on July 21, 2009 at the end of the year picnic at Wildwood Park  (5:00 – 8:00 PM).  Please have your child attend as we will be taking photos for player ID cards that night.  This early registration will allow the club to run an effective indoor program over the winter months and will improve communication between coaches, the club, and families.  

 

A “mail in” option will be provided for families that will be out of town on the night of the picnic.  The deadline for “mail in” registration is July 21, 2009.   Players that miss the registration deadline will have a $50 “late fee” added to their yearly registration costs and will only be added to rosters if there are open spots to be filled. The club will provide an exception to the registration deadline for first time players. 

 

Roster Decisions will need to be made by January 1, 2010 and prelimary roster formation will begin prior to this.  The CWSL sets the rules on how many players we can roster for each team. MYSA may need to have try outs for teams that have registrations exceeding the number allowed.  Please speak to a MYSA board member if you have questions regarding this. 

 

VOLUNTEERING


The Marshfield Area Youth Soccer is an organization that runs entirely through the efforts of volunteers.  With the growth of the club over time, the responsibilities have grown beyond what can be done by a minority of club members.  In order for the organization to continue, the board is asking every family to give at least two years of service to a volunteer committee during their child’s playing years with MYSA.  Every family will be required to fill out a volunteer form when they register their child. Parents will be notified once the committees are set for the 2010 season. 
 

 

INDOOR PROGRAM
 

The club will offer two different options for their indoor program this year.  Registration for both programs will be July 21st along with the outdoor season registration. 
 

U10-U12 - Structured sessions with training provided by experienced coaches.

There will be possible Indoor Tournament opportunities depending on coach availability.

Attendance is not required at every session. 
 

U13-U18 - Open gym format with pick up games.  There will be possible Indoor Tournament opportunities depending on coach availability.  Attendance is not mandatory for each session. 
 

UNIFORMS

The uniform ordering date will be set by the board after the first of the year.  Registered players will be notified once the date is set. The approximate uniform cost will be $85.00 per player. The uniform kit includes: 2 jerseys, one pair of shorts, and 2 pairs of socks.  

 

REFUND POLICY 

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. All refunds before March 1st will be granted minus a $25.00 processing fee. All refunds after March 1st will be at the sole discretion of the Board President.  Refunds will be given in full to players who do not receive roster spots due to tryout situations.


 

PHOTOS / BIRTH CERTIFICATES 

All first year players must present a copy of their birth certificate at the time of registration.  The certificates will be checked by the registration committee and returned that evening.  The club will return the birth certificates that are mailed in with registration forms.
  
 

The player ID cards require a 1½ inch by 1½ inch headshot photo of each player.  Photos will be taken on the July 21st night of registration by a MYSA volunteer.  Mail in photos must not be any larger than 1½ inch by 1½ inch.  These photos will not be returned.

 

REGISTRATION FEES
 

Registration fees for the outdoor season will remain at $60 for the U10 group and $100 for groups U11 and over.  This fee includes the price of one tournament per team (U11 and over)  for the season.  Additional tournaments will be paid for by the players.

 

MYSA players will be issued “player cards” and will be allowed to practice and play with their teams only if their registration fee is paid and the proper paperwork has been completed.
